HolyScribe

Terms of use

The agreement between you and Brainbeamer, the makers of HolyScribe, wherever you use it. We’ve kept it short and plain.

Using the app

HolyScribe helps you follow sermons, see Bible verses and keep notes. You may use it for yourself, your family and your study group. Please don’t use it to break the law, to harm anyone, or to try to get around how Scrolls are counted.

Recording sermons

Record only where you’re allowed to. Many churches welcome it; some don’t. A sermon belongs to the preacher and the church: keep your recordings for your own study, and ask before you publish or sell them.

The AI can make mistakes

Notes, answers and explanations are written by AI from what was heard. They can mishear a word or misread a point. The sermon and the Bible are the sources: check the minute and the verse each line points to, and ask your pastor about anything that matters to you. HolyScribe is a study companion, not pastoral, medical, legal or financial advice.

Scrolls

Gifts

You can send Scrolls to someone with a link. Each link works once. A gift that isn’t claimed within 30 days comes back to you.

Your content

Your notes, marks and recordings are yours. You let us process them only to give you the features you use, as our privacy promise describes.

Changes and availability

We keep improving the app, so features may change. We’ll tell you in the app before changes that affect your Scrolls or your data. We work hard to keep the service running, but it may sometimes be unavailable.

Responsibility

The app is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses caused by mistakes in transcripts, notes or answers, or by losing data kept only on your phone. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, where Brainbeamer is based. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights your own country’s law gives you.
